the vision

artistic productions:
leasing studio space and access to artists/inventors/visionaries, offering workshop hours to the community in painting, drawing, film, textile arts, screen-printing, etc. Producing events to host theatrical performances, poetry readings, open mics and dinner theaters.

indie publications:
films, zines, flyers, posters, screen-printing, stencils, and murals to foster communication through the arts and gain visibility for artists, local collectives and allies

community expansion:
workshops, speakers and open dialogs, exchanging ideas about various issues and solutions in order to educate and create a more inspired, diverse and curious population

the space

4810 NE Garfield

1,495 sq/ft of commercial warehouse space
(the same building as Bike Farm and Emerald Forest Herbarium)

Has been operating as the Variant and used as headquarters for B Media, a general community gathering space for workshops and a venue that hosted various events like: open mics, dance parties, and underground gameshow nights. We hope to transform it into a multi-purpose community art space/think-tank.

It has a stage with a piano, lighting and projector screen, built-in bar and kitchenette, bathroom with utility sink and shower and plenty of room for art studio/storage space.
